Jennifer is passionate about writing for children, drawing inspiration from their curiosity, wonder, enthusiasm for learning about the world and most of all, their potential. Her work for children spans news articles, features, explainers, essays, environmental education materials and workbooks. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

  • Pollination Journal – Developed for Plant Heroes, an American Public Gardens Association program that creates educational resources on plant conservation, forest health and ecology for children throughout the United States. Also translated in Spanish.

  • She conceptualized and wrote a series of three mental health workbooks to help military children navigate some of the challenges of military life — long parent deployments, frequent moves and the death of a loved one while serving. The first in the series gained the attention of the White House and all three have been used around the world.

  • My Parents’ Divorce Through My Eyes: A Workbook for Children – A compassionate, practical and empowering resource that helps provide children ages 8-12 with the critical tools and support they need to cope with their parents' divorce and express themselves.

It includes a parents’ guide on how to talk with young children about divorce, offering a supportive structure for each topic of conversation, and helping parents feel more at ease to respond to children’s thoughts and questions.
